Genji
Now I would like to talk about playing Genji because he is my personal favorite hero for both solo play and with friends. Genji is a dps character who excels at diving into the back line of the enemy team and taking out their healers before the actual fight even breaks out, leaving the rest of the team without heals and vulnerable to being dove on and taken out. Genji’s primary fire is three shurikens thrown in a straight line at wherever the cursor is pointing. This fire is highly effective against targets that are long or medium range, or skinnier targets if you have the aim to land note than one shuriken per burst. The secondary fire is a fan-like cone shape throw of three shurikens that move at the same speed but spread out into the cone shape as they travel. This fire is very effective at close range because it can be fired faster than the primary fire, and at very close ranges, or against large characters it can be very easy to land multiple hits with one throw. I would recommend using this fire when you dive into the back line and are very close to the enemies, or when fighting tanks. Genji’s shift ability is a dash that sends Genji a fair distance in whatever direction you are pointing, and damages all enemies along the way. This does a decent amount of damage and the cooldown is reset upon kill or assist. I recommend using this ability to finish off enemies, get out of fights, or to bounce from target to target while using your ultimate. Your E ability is a deflect where for the next few seconds any projectile that hits Genji from the front will be deflected back in the direction the cursor is pointing damaging any enemies hit. This ability is very important because it can save Genji and his teammates and deal heavy damage to enemies. I recommend using this ability when as lot of enemies are in front of you looking to focus you down. Genji’s ultimate ability is where he pulls out a sword which makes his attacks melee and deal massive damage to enemies. The best way to use this is when you get behind the enemy team and can take out the squishy dps and healer targets with it, or when one of your teammates can hold the enemies in place to set you up. While playing Genji you should always be asking for Zarya to use her ult with yours so they will be held in place, and asking Ana to ult you while you use yours for the damage reduction and bonus damage. One last thing, as Genji it is very important to stay mobile with double jumps and dashes making you hard to hit while you terrorize the enemy back line.
